We are currently seeking a Regional Infection Control RN to perform a variety of duties involved in the prevention and control of infectious diseases to include the collection, definition, interpretation and reporting of data in a systematic manner. The Regional IC RN assists with care plan development and provision of care for offenders with acute and chronic infectious disease and serve as a consultant for nurses, physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding care, tracking and reporting of offenders identified with infectious disease.
The position is a remote/work-from-home opportunity, however up to 60% of travel will be required to facilities within the South Central/South Florida region. Our RIC Nurse must live in this area.
Supports the work of the site level positions and provides guidance as needed.
Consolidates information provided by site level positions for monthly reporting.
Works closely with the client in the development and implementation of the programs.
Reports directly to the Statewide DON.

Must hold valid Florida RN license
CIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred
1 to 3 years' experience providing nursing care in a public health environment or acute care setting with focus on infection prevention and control
Experience in correctional environment preferred
Experience working with a high degree of autonomy required
Ability to pass a background check
