Role Websphere Admin Location Miramar, FL Duration Full time Job Description Key responsibilities include the identification and resolution of hardware, software or WebSphere problemsoutages in any of the RCCL WebSphere related services. Owning, maintaining and setting up environments on multiple platforms across the enterprise. Deployment, administration and operational support of (prd, stg, tst and dev) environments for multiple WebJ2EE projects using WebSphere Application Server as the runtime. Help with installations, upgrades, application migrations and support of WebSphere applications for QA and development teams for multiple projects. Participate in performance analysis and certification of all Web J2EE WebSphere Application Server runtime environments. These responsibilities require 24x7 coverage and response to systems alerts during after-hour periods. Specific WebSphere performance issues, error messages or service problems will be routed directly to the IT WebSphere Support team and be assigned to a WebSphere Engineer. Required skillscompetencies Bachelor's degree (computer science engineering preferred) or related work experience Systems Engineering experience working in complex enterprise environment (IBM pSeries and iSeries partitioned servers) 3+ years WebSphere Application Server experience, 3+ years in a 247365 environment Demonstrated experience with implementation, management and operational support of WebSphere Application Server environment Demonstrated knowledge of WebSphere Application Server architecture, components and tools Demonstrated experience with Java support, tuning and troubleshooting Fluent with a flavor of Unix type operating system (AIX is preferred) Fluent with a flavor of Unix shell scripting (ksh and csh is preferred) Experience with highly available WebSphere Application Server cluster solutions Experience in WebSphere Application Server application design and solution WebSphere Performance Tuning Experience Security experience (experience working in secure enterprise WebSphere environments) Preferred Skills Experience with WESB 7.x is required Experience with WPS 6.x 7.x is required Experience with MQ Series is required Experience with Websphere 8.x7.x6.x is required Websphere Portal 6.x 7.x is required Experience with Apache IBM HTTP Server is required Experience with UNIX is required Experience with Shell, Jython Scripting is required Experience with Dynatrace and Splunk Monitoring is must Experienced with Datapower is optional Experience with F5 Load Balancer is optional Preferred Education Bachelors Degree Background checks required SSN verification 5 year statewide criminal US Citizens and Permanent Residents Only - no H1, TN, or EAD Candidates Standard work week Our normal business hours are 9 am - 6 pm M-F.
